What shapes your Pinterest home feed?
Pinterest's help center names four signals: boards you create, Pins you engage with, searches and follows.
Changing any of them changes what you see.
Pinterest doesn't say how quickly changes take effect.
How do I open Refine your recommendations?
On desktop, click the options icon at the bottom left, then Refine your recommendations.
In the app, tap your profile picture, then your profile photo, then Refine your recommendations.
Business accounts find it under Settings.
It has tabs for Pins, Boards, Interests, Following and AI content.
How do I stop recommendations from one board?
Open the Boards tab and switch off recommendations for that board.
Keeping each board focused on one idea makes this switch more precise.
Do secret boards affect your home feed?
Not by default. Pinterest turns recommendations off for secret boards and archived boards.
That makes secret boards useful for gift planning or research you want kept out of your feed.
You can switch a secret board's recommendations back on in the Boards tab.
How do I remove a topic from my feed?
Open the Interests tab and remove topics you no longer want recommendations for.
How do I see fewer Pins like one I don't want?
Tap the ellipsis on the Pin.
Choose See fewer like this on the web, or See less in the app.
Pinterest says this helps it understand what you do and don't want to see.
It doesn't say how many times you need to do it.
The same menu offers See more like this for Pins you want more of.
Can you see fewer AI-generated Pins?
Yes, in some categories. Use AI content on desktop, or GenAI interests on Android.
At the time of writing, Pinterest's help center lists iOS support as coming soon.
How do follows and searches change your feed?
Pinterest counts the people and boards you follow as a feed signal.
Review them in the Following tab and unfollow what no longer fits.
Searches count too, so searching for what you want also shapes recommendations.
Does saving a Pin keep it available offline?
No. Saving adds a Pin to a board. Downloading saves the file to your device.
For recipes or workouts you use offline, download the media.
