Privacy Policy
This page explains what happens to your information when you use SaverPin. In short: there's no sign-up, we don't keep the links you paste or the files you download, and the only cookie we set remembers a language you choose.

1. Who we are
SaverPin is a free tool for saving media from public Pinterest Pins, run by SaverPin ("we"). You can reach us at contact@saverpin.net.
We're an independent service, not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Pinterest, Inc. Pinterest is a trademark of Pinterest, Inc.
2. What we process
Links you paste. Your link goes to our server, which uses it once to fetch that public Pin page from Pinterest and find its media. We don't save the link or connect it to you. It's sent inside the request rather than in the page address, so it doesn't show up in address-based logs.
Downloads. When you press Download, our server fetches the file from Pinterest and passes it on to you. The file's address is part of that request, so it can appear in our hosting provider's request logs (see section 9).
Previews. Preview images and videos load in your browser straight from Pinterest's servers (pinimg.com), so Pinterest sees your IP address and browser details for those requests, under its own privacy policy.
Technical data. Like any website, our hosting provider handles the basics needed to deliver a page: your IP address, browser and device details, the page you asked for, the time, and a rough country based on your IP address.
Language by country. On pages without a language in the address, we use that rough country to send some visitors to their country's language. We don't store it or link it to you. If you've picked a language from the language menu, we use that instead (see section 5).
Emails. If you email us, we receive your address, your message and any attachments, and use them only to reply.
We never ask for your Pinterest login or any other password.
3. How media is handled
We don't host or keep copies of the files you download. Our server streams each file from Pinterest straight to your device; nothing is saved to disk or to a database, and we don't keep a list of what you downloaded.
Your own browser may cache a download for up to an hour, as it does with other web content.
4. Why we use this information (legal bases)
We use it to run the downloader, keep the site secure and working, show pages in your language and answer your emails.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in running a secure, working service, and on your request when you contact us. Where consent is required, such as for advertising cookies, we'll ask first (see section 7).
5. Cookies and local storage
We set one cookie, saverpin-lang-choice, and only when you pick a language from the language menu. It stores that language code for one year, so we show you that language instead of redirecting you by country. It isn't used for tracking or ads.
The site also keeps a few small settings in your browser. They're never sent to us and aren't used to track you:
- saverpin-lang (local storage): the language you chose.
- saverpin-theme (local storage): light or dark mode.
- tsr-scroll-restoration-v1_3 (session storage): your scroll position, so the back button returns you to the same spot. It's cleared when you close the tab.
You can remove all of these by clearing your browser's site data. If we start showing ads, ad partners may set their own cookies (see section 7).
6. Third-party services
We use a few outside services, each with its own privacy policy:
- Cloudflare hosts the site and delivers every page and download, handling the technical data in section 2 and protecting the site from attacks.
- Supabase stores our blog posts and their translations. Only our server uses it, and it holds nothing about visitors.
- DeepL translates blog posts. We send it the article text only, never anything about you.
- Pinterest receives our server's requests for the Pins and files you ask for, and your browser's requests for previews.
- Unsplash hosts our blog's cover images, which your browser loads from images.unsplash.com, so Unsplash sees your IP address and browser details when you read the blog.
Our fonts come from our own site, not a font service. Share buttons are plain links and load nothing until you click one.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it beyond the services above and the advertising in section 7, unless the law requires it.
7. Advertising
We may show ads through Google AdSense to keep SaverPin free.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to show ads based on your previous visits to this site and to other websites. Google's advertising cookies let Google and its partners show you ads based on those visits.
You can turn off personalized ads from Google at adssettings.google.com, and opt out of personalized ads from many other vendors at aboutads.info. Google explains how it uses this information in "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services" (policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites).
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, we'll ask for your consent through a banner before any advertising cookies are used, and you can change your choice at any time.
Under some US state privacy laws, such as California's, advertising cookies can count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information. You can opt out using the choices above or by emailing us, and we'll honor Global Privacy Control signals where the law requires it.
Ads come from third parties. Showing an ad doesn't mean we endorse what it promotes.
8. Analytics
We don't use any analytics or visitor-tracking service. If that changes, we'll update this policy first.
9. How long we keep information
We don't store the links you paste or the files you download.
Our hosting provider may keep request and error logs for a limited time, under its own policies and our settings, for security and troubleshooting. We don't use them to build profiles or for ads.
We keep emails only as long as we need them to handle your request.
10. International transfers
Our providers work in several countries, including the United States and the European Union, so your information may be processed outside your country. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, these transfers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
11. Security
The whole site uses HTTPS. Access keys stay on our server, our download relay only fetches files from Pinterest's own servers, and since there are no accounts, we hold no passwords of yours. No service is perfectly secure, but we keep what we handle to a minimum and protect it.
12. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may be able to ask what personal information we hold about you, get a copy, have it corrected or deleted, object to or limit how we use it, or receive it in a portable format. In the EEA and the UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.
People in California and some other US states have similar rights, including opting out of the "selling" or "sharing" described in section 7. Using your rights won't change how we treat you.
To make a request, email contact@saverpin.net. In practice, the only personal information we hold that's linked to you is any email you've sent us. We may need to confirm that a request is really yours.
You can also clear your browser's site data (section 5) and use the advertising choices in section 7.
13. Children
SaverPin isn't meant for children under 13 (under 16 in the EEA and the UK), and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
14. Automated decisions
We don't make automated decisions about you or build profiles of visitors.
15. Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy when the site changes, for example if we add ads, a consent banner or analytics. The date at the top shows the current version, and we'll point out any significant change on this page.
16. Translations
This policy may be available in other languages. If a translation and the English version differ, the English version applies.
17. Contact
Privacy questions or requests: contact@saverpin.net, SaverPin.
